Actually it's quite useful... I used it last night in trials. You see, of your ass isn't covered by a wall or completely out of sight, you're going to be a target for snipers anyways. But with the perk you have access to sniping from a place that people just aren't used to. They are uncomfortable with not so high up, and if you can do it in the right spot, it's rather bright behind you so it's hard to see your head versus being next to a more solid wall or color. That and it's not completely immobile. If I get a running start and then jump and use the perk, I'll continue drifting to the side in the air, while still being able to land headshots.
