Ummm it does orbit the sun.... As in the Earth spins around it while it rotates itself. Thats why on certain dates astronauts decide to launch to other planets because on that day the planet may be easier to navigate to instead of another day when its harder. Also the bigger the object the bigger its gravitational pull. And whats the biggest thing in our solar system? The damn sun. Anything in our solar system spins around it even the big planets like jupiter.
