Read this first! Please don't hate on me. I am admitting right now I am probably wrong, so I would just like to see others opinions on this topic. I'm in high school so my ideas are probably just rebellious and not very logical because my brain isn't fully developed. So just share your opinions and don't criticize me please. I am agnostic if you are wondering.
Here goes. I believe that we are who we are because of everything that happens in our lives;who we are, who we come into contact with, where we were born, etc. I feel like if I was born somewhere else and was raised by different parents with different religions, than I would be a very different person. Please don't hate. Just state your opinions. I posted for different opinions so I could see different points of view on this subject. Thanks for reading this long, boring "essay". Patience! Respond if you want or just forget abou it I guess. Thanks for the mature responses!

Longface has left the forums why do you use his name in your name

This is common sense actually. Who you are and how you act is a direct result of the environment you live in. Not some divine intervention. It's merely geography.
-
This is very logical. Everything around you would have a massive effect on you, especially as a child. This makes a lot of sense.

This is common knowledge.

Completely wrong, it is all about what pron you watch and how much you crack your knuckles

That's one small aspect of it!!! :D

Well of course. Upbringing largely determines the outcome of one's character. Children are especially vulnerable to these influences as they don't know much about the world.

Yes, and also we have a foundation of who we are from out parents. Ex: hot headed dad and chill mom=either or/mix of both.
