That's where I choose to deal my damage from too, I find it a bit moronic to want to drop down there to be honest.
I don't see choosing to deal damage from high ground as cheese, it's a sound tactic, used by military for years, he who holds the high ground generally wins.

Usually when I run this strikes, I'll dedicate one guy to take out the nexus while the other two deal with the Minotaur. Once it is dealt with the other two will join by shooting the nexus with their primaries and heavies. Reserve shotgun for minotaurs.

I agree. I don't see tactically placing yourself above an enemy's shield, so you cAn provide constant damage as a cheese. I run that ending by fighting in multiple locations, just depends on what I feel like that day and how the team is. But most of the time, I'm positioned above the shield - whether it be up top or on the rocks to the right by the gap or to the left.
