The weapons aside they have to change the perks on these exotics before TTK release. The arms for the Hunter are really good (depending on the proc rate of the primary ammo thing) but the Warlock chest is rubbish and will probably never see any use at all and the Titan helm is just meh and will never get used over the existing helms.
Given the amount of exotics we're getting one or two stinkers would be forgiveable but considering that we are essentially losing some in the transition from Y1 to Y2 they really need to smash it out of the park with these new ones and so far they aren't......and the orb abilities are actually good IMO but they need paired up with another great perk and not crap like more glimmer bonus lol

I mean come on, how do these things get passed the devs. Its like no one actually plays with these guns/armors before their released.

i actually got good HoW guns and gear..I was one of the unlucky sob's that never got a good drop ever. i was one of the "forever 29". if it wasnt for the HoW gear, i would have never gotten to 34. Isnt there already some crap exotics already in game right now? They only showed a peek at 3 exotic armor pieces, and 3 exotic guns. its rumored that there will be at least 18 exotic armor pieces in TTK. all im saying is at least wait for all the facts before jumping to conclusions, you might have thought they had crap gear in the other DLC's, dont you think there might be a chance they will improve on their track record with TTK?

Nechrochasm is the biggest example of an exotic weapon being knowhere near what it should be..... They clearly had to come up with the PoE weapons last minute as the raid was kept back in the end. I'm not saying that all the gear from those DLC's are bad but some of them in particular are just plain awful.

I think they learned their lesson with the Gally, they made that weapon too OP where it got to the point that people were being kicked from groups if they didnt have one. doubt they want that to happen again.

Yeah but the definition of exotic doesn't even come into it. This is a game and the top tier equipment should be great no matter what it is called. Yes Gally was too powerful and caused a bad situation in the community but the solution is to make great but fair/balanced exotics and not bad ones that will never be used. Basically every exotic should be good enough that you would consider using them, not to say some can't perform better than others but they shouldn't be so overpowered that people use nothing else and the others shouldn't be so bad that you will never use them at all. Balance is they key here and its something that Bungie has been struggling with since Destiny's release.

i will give you that exotics should be the most coveted weapons in the game, but Destiny is far from the first game to have bad top tier weapons in there game, and unfortunately, it will not be the last game that does this. I guess they want you to try to get them all, so they dont make every single exotic top shelf. it doesnt really bother me that much i guess. ill just keep trying to get them all :)
