That's funny.... because it's talking 20% tax there at max from what I can see. It still doesn't add up. Give me the maths with VAT to tell me how that works then???

  • https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Value-added_tax Each time it passes a businesses hands the tax is cumulative. Meaning it snowballs and you end up with the final cost. If you don't like it, your fellow Brits have come up with some sort of IP hosting or whatever to set your Xbox here in the U.S. And purchase it at the $40 value. In this country that's tax evasion, best of luck to you

  • I already had a little read through it from your reply to someone else What part says you pay tax every time it goes to a new business? I saw the part about it going from a country with sales/VaT to a country that has the other and both of them being cumulative but can't see anything about VaT being cumulative. Could you paste a sentence to Ctrl + F? Even still £25 and £40 is like a 80% + increase in price. That still doesn't seem to add up unless it's bounced around 4 times... and it's a digital product not a physical good, why's it bouncing around so much then? I don't quite get this stuff so perhaps you could help me to understand?

  • I could count at least two, activision to Microsoft to you. I can't tell you how your system works as it's not mine to deal with. I can only research it and forward you the information. It's your responsibility to know it. You can purchase a physical collectors edition (full, not dlc) for the same price, correct? That product enters and is paid for once. A digital product, shit they can label bungie and activision seperately for all I know. This is the case for games in Japan, I cannot purchase FFXIV for one system (steam/ windows) and have the OSX version for download. That country sees the product as two separate entities. As I said, your Brit buddies came up with a solution to circumvent the issue. Your choice

  • Not really my responsibility to know it. I doubt you know exactly how your country works completely. That also makes no sense that it's the same price as the one including all previous parts of destiny. Just because it's how it works as you say, doesn't mean it's right.

  • I've made a statement previously that I don't agree with it. I also don't agree with the property taxes in the state I live, and here's the kicker, I'm a tax assessor. The best any of us can do, as an individual, is educate ourselves and use knowledge to our advantage. Unless people started to unite and strike as they did in the older years shit won't change for the poorer folk. And no I don't know every aspect of how this country is ran. I just learn about the small parts required of me. You're welcome for the sliver of direction I've provided that could not be assessed for whomever it concerns. FYI £39 is closer to $60 and that's a 50% increase from the $40 it should be. Not 80% as someone stated elsewhere. If you consider VAT at whatever the hell they decide it to be and also the American tax(I would assume this is on there) it's getting close. It blows, that in this, the world is so divided.
