Haven't seen his videos, though I wouldn't be surprised if my opinion about him turns out to be the same opinion you have, I've seen plenty of Destiny youtubers and almost all of them are monotone and boring and simply copycats, just posting the same shit other Destiny youtubers post.
That said, check out SirWallens. He's got some quite unique content, atleast compared to other Destiny youtubers. He doesn't upload the same shit all other Destiny youtubers do and his lore videos are very nice.
Another one is WorkRevolt, he's a really small youtuber and doesnt have many videos yet but his sarcastic weapon reviews are very funny. You might wanna watch those in order if you are going to, otherwise you wont understand the references to other episodes.

Mr. Fruit has pretty much only done 1 news video since Dark Below. He pretty much does challenges, reviews weapons, and makes videos of him playing with two others.

Just checked his channel. Weapon reviews and how to solo stuff. Just like everyone else. I was surprised there werent any loot/Xur videos so I watched one video. I absolutely hate his voice.

What I like about the fruit is that he isn't as monotone and straightforward as the other ones. He does different things, things other people don't do. And the best part is that he (for the most part) adds comedy into it!
