Call me crazy, but i think the fact that these weapons were both good and hard to find created their own storm. by being hard to get and generally really good(like thorn) it creates a sort of angst against that specific gun. People calling it op and broken created a snowball effect that made the difficulty of obtaining these weapons even more exaggerated, refueling itself until it engulfed more and more players into the "NERF THIS OP SHEET ITS TU HERD" mentality. Worst part is this is all JUST for PVP, a relatively small part of the overall game considering where most of our stuff comes from.
As for a few guns dominating pvp, there really is a multitude of weapons out there that work. What matters above all else is that you know how to use them - that the guns you use you have a feel for and now how to utilize them. The more skilled player could go in with the Khavostov and beat down guys with thorns and red deaths - granted, the gun difference will make for some difficulty, but that in itself may just hone their skills all the more - meaning when the guy with the Khavostov changes to a Suros regime, he will do far better by comparison realistically.
Oh, and just because i thought it was funny - the last sentence you had' "Maybe you enjoy the same game repeated over and over but most people find it boring." WELCOME TO DESTINY XD sorry, i had to, just thought it was too perfect a moment, can you blame me?
