I watch a lot of Hearthstone streamers (it's an online collectable card battling game based on WoW with a huge community) because it's super fun and varied content. Sometimes it's fun to watch the streamer create and test interesting new decks, other times I like watching them during high level play as they explain their strategies and make interesting moves and just talk in depth about the strategy of the game. Some streamers create random decks constructed by votes from the audience and bet fake currency on how many game they'll win in a row. Sometimes I watch tournaments and see the best of the best go head to head. Other times there's interesting charity streams. One in particular was a bunch of well known HS players were in a 24 hour challenge to see who could get the highest rank on a new account without spending money on it. Some of my other favourite channels are Saltybet - 24 hour stream of MUGEN, an open source fighting game that has a roster of thousands of characters (street fighter, mortal kombat, the Simpsons, BDZ, robocop, you name it and it's in there). Saltybet is random AI character vs random AI character all day long and people bet fake currency on the outcomes. I won 200,000 salty dollars watching an MS paint power ranger defeat Master Chief. No Hands Ken - an armless gamer who plays Diablo and MOBAs, extremely well. It's inspiring to watch him play and even more inspiring watching the audience encourage him and donate. He earns a living gaming now and doesn't rely on a pension. The world of streaming is actually really unique and incredible if you open your mind and look around, and it is often more than just mindlessly watching a person play a video game.
