In my eyes, with the Titan class its not that the Fist of Havoc is over powered, per se, its that it can be done and activated on a whim at the snap of their fingers and its (seemingly) insane long range. There is no activation delay, seemingly as there is with the Hunters subclasses. Again, this is just how it looks to me, as someone who's main is a Hunter. The other thing that I know I myself and have heard other hunters complain about is the Lightning grenade how it seems to just last forever. Is it supposed to hurt? Of course, but to us, it seems to last forever and a day. Now, obviously for a Titan, they might look at it as it doesn't really last that long and doesn't seem to do a whole lot. Who knows. Lastly, its their Shoulder charge that I know I personally am not a fan of being on the receiving end of it. My whole thing with it, and you can correct me if I am wrong, because again this is just how it seems to me, is that even if I am full health, one shoulder charge is insta-kill and it has some pretty good range to it. Whereas for us as Hunters, it takes two melee hits to kill. Yes, Blink Strike when charged, gives us more range for the strike, but I've had happen numerous times when I use Blink Strike on a Titan, they just shoulder charge me and whack, Im dead. That gets a little frustrating. Could that be lag or game glitch of pure randomness? Sure, probably. But its still annoying. Now am I saying at all that any of these need a buff or nerf? No, not at all. This is just how it all looks to me from my perspective, as someone whos main is a Hunter, and who does not play Titan at all. As well on the flipside, you as a Titan may say similar things in regards to various aspects of the Hunter class as its seen through your eyes. Either way, the post is good, the stats are pretty neat to see and informative to look at. It's stuff like this though that definitely helps shed a little light on certain aspects of the game and such.

  • I never said its constantly happening to me. Just pointed out certain things in my eyes what seemed to be like what from past experiences is all. Again none of this is whining or griping at Titans and what they can and stuff. It's just me staying hey this is what it looks like to me as a person experiencing it and one who has not played as a Titan and does not not know 100% how they work.

  • I didnt say all of that lol... it was a general statement about the ability. .. don't get me wrong my main was a Titan at one point and I would shoulder charge shot gunners and get hate mail afterwards. .. keeping a Titan at range or jumping helps void out that charge

  • Titans have a perk in the stoker tree that make lightning grenades last longer

  • Good to know. I knew you could shoot them just every time I have tried it doesn't work for whatever reason, and in the heat of battle, situational awareness and enemies all around you; gotta think which is more important during the battle at that exact moment ya know?

  • You can shoot the grenade, it doesn't chase you or anything if you are to stupid to move out of the damage area of the nade you don't deserve to complain

  • What about when you use a Melee with Backstab and hit me in the front and it still counts as a Backstab and Crits me for over 300 damage? A Titan shoulder charge takes time to ramp up and it doesn't last forever either.

  • I've actually not heard of it doing that nor have I ever experienced using it myself. A glitch like that I can easily see why other would get mad.

  • It's common that Backstab does this very very very common and it hits for over 3xx damage.

  • Interesting. I mean I know how Backstab works and such and the extra damage and what not but I've never heard of it doing that glitch. I can definitely agree though that if anyone were to say that it needs to be fixed and addressed by the developers, that it does need to be.

  • And I have been using backstab on my Hunter and if a Titan is shoulder charging you, you can aim for the helmet with your crosshairs and melee and if you look a little bit down I believe it will always proc as a backstab as the Titan bends down slightly to shoulder charge.

I don't have any vids sorry :( but it has worked for me multiple times now, and people don't even shoulder charge very often. I might have just gotten lucky though.

  • Each class has its good points and...unfortunately...its annoying points. Do I enjoy being Blink+Shotgunned from across the room? Blazes no...but I try to observe and adapt: Enemy Titan running towards me? They're either goin' for the Shoulder Charge or a Fist of Havoc. Best swap to my shottie. Hunter/Warlock constantly Blink+Shotting? Time to move to an area with a low ceiling. F*** yo blink. Hunter pops their Arc Blade nearby? My super is ready? Prepare to get fisted...by panic. Enemy Sunsinger? More than likely, they're gonna self-rez. Best keep out of melee range when I kill 'em. As for Grenades, yeah, the lightning grenades are good. So are the Fusion, Axion Bolt, Magnetic, Flux, Bolt, and Firebolt grenades. Each class has their killer grenades, but none of them are truly OP. Maybe the Axion Bolts...those things chase you for days...

  • I LOVE throwing and Axion Bolt and forgetting I threw it and 8 seconds later get a hit marker or a kill I laugh every time. But you have to spec into a certain tree perk that allows Axion Bolt to go further + use Voidfangs

  • Those Axion Bolts do chase you for DAYS on end. Hell I had one encounter on Couldroun and I started from B ran all the way around A to C and the damn things still were behind me. Made my buttcheeks clench there haha. But yes I agree with you wholeheartedly, each class has its annoying features. Hell, even when other Hunters Blink + Shotgun me, that pisses me off too.

  • yes, but the strikers super is a 1 and done deal while hunters supers last way too long, so therefore a delay in activation

  • I don't represent all Titans, but I will give you one man's humble thoughts: Fist of Havoc (or FoP) You are right about the near-instantaneous activation, however I believe this balances out with "Roaming Supers." Inherently I believe all supers are cheap kills (for a lack of a better word), so for your cheap kills you either pick an unstoppable group killer or a squishy 1v1 killer. As with any super, it all depends on how you play it. Many strikers one get one kill in a FoP scenario, or they want to generate some orbs without waiting for groups to cluster (heavy ammo). Lightning Grenades Lightning grenades are super OP and I love it. It all comes down to placement. I see many strikers throw them on the floor and that is a wasted grenade. As far as the length, many Titans pick the perk "Aftershock" to increase the duration of the grenade. It may seem like they last forever, but that is probably because it is the best perk in that tree (IMO) so most Titans have it picked. However it is a grenade that is able to be shot down, so as long as a person keeps some situational awareness it can be easily defeated. Shoulder Charge I will admit the auto lock on in shoulder charge is OP. On the other side, it is quite disorienting when you are using it so I can see the necessity. Players that are good at shoulder charge can abuse the heck out of it, but in reality it has a narrow window for when it can be used and has a cool down (but most people don't recognize it as a cool down). In the current meta, it is not generally viable due to the range on most shotguns. Sorry for the novel. tl;dr I both agree and disagree

  • No, no, the lengthy explanation helps. Both yours and DogOfWars below really helps out. Granted, there have been numerous times that I have killed a Titan when they failed execute their FoH or Shoulder Charge correctly or just for whatever reason I didnt die by it and I manage to kill them however so, but it feels like the opposite more often times than not. Of course, I believe each class has its own distinct OP features, as that is what helps set them apart and make them powerful in their own rights, so by all means thats fine. Just sucks being on the receiving end of it all, as Im sure any Titan or Warlock can say in regards to the other two classes.

  • Even being on the receiving end of Titans irks me. I might well set my controller down if a Titan gets a well-placed lightning grenade behind me, because the pulses are too fast to get away. Or a shoulder charge master that can close the gap impossibly fast so I can only hope for a trade. Ironically I like fight roaming supers the most because of how squishy they are, and how vulnerable they are to good positioning.

  • Fist of Havoc can seem that way when you're on the receiving end, but trust me- as someone who runs Striker from time to time, it's easily countered if your targets see you coming and are able to concentrate fire on you in time. I can't count how many times I've been shot down in the middle of activating my super- I've even been sniped from across the map. There's definitely a tactical sense needed to successfully use the FoH, which I lack much of the time. Shoulder charge- this is also one of those moves that, when I'm in the groove, I can pull off over and over, and damn it feels good. But when the thumb stick isn't cooperating, I can't get the charge to work no matter what I do. It turns into a simple sprint which leaves me out in the middle of the enemy fire zone- i.e., dead meat. It's not the attacks themselves, but the skill of the player that determine success. Just like any weapon. Hope this provided some new perspective for you.
