It's pretty crazy when you look at the average k/d. Bladedancer/Gunslinger is easily 20 - 30% higher on average then . I'm a perfect example of that. On my titan I'm a .95....on a Hunter 1.21. Bladedancer is so OP

  • I have the oposite. On my Hunter (usually BD) I have a 1.77. On my Titan (Striker) I have a 2.00. My Warlock has a 1.89.

  • I had only started using my hunter when HoW dropped... actually I created my hunter 1 month before (or I should say started to seriously level up) Anyway now to my point, so yesterday I got my 100th rumble win though a month ago I had 5. I resorted to using my hunter to get wins in rumble, because looking at the bladedancer tree (and having played since day 1) to me it has the best skills for the game mode. So after maybe a week of pulse rifles I found my skillset often had me needing thorn, but also had alot of success with the jewel of osiris adept. That didnt really irk me. It was when I finally got a matador 64 with perfect rool (btw I dont reforge I just get the same gun so many times eventually I got the perfect role and decided that I "earned" a max range shotgun so I could be at least a threat. Well I learned few things from that whole expereience. 1. If I get heavy ammo in rumble , expect a 10-15 killstreak to follow 2.my split shifter pro can easily outkill an enemy with a shotgun (but it requires 2x the skill and planning ahead every time) 3. I can tell when I use the thorn people just want me to die (several times I was 2nd place and had people literally running away from me without shooting....just to get shot by 1st place 1 time after I do all of the work) 4. Also about the thorn (while 33% of my victims kept feeding 1st place) another 1/3rd of you will get killed by me using thorn, then while I am busy just trying to be fair I.e. (not predict spawns and try to spread my kills to everyone) person I just killed will constantly attempt to revenge kill me (ive played halo/cod whatever I know revenge feels good every now and then) but its a freakinf FFA kill everybody dont just focus on me because I killed you 3 times in a row ( after the first time instead of using tact you literally sprint out of your spawn, and into your 3 shot death) 5. Being a bladedancer in rumble is a rollercoaster, 50% chance you kill every one around you, 50% chance that everyone playing has turtle beach headphones and the second they hear you ( and mind you I was not always winnimg these rounds) they would litterally run away so I waste my super (ok maybe I suck) but alot of times instead of running away, they just jump off of the map and spawm far away. So by my 100th win my thorn shotgunning bladedancer (sorry I dont blink because I want to make the other jumps competitive) I had a 2.0kd on my hunter. (Sadly alot of my kills were from shotgunning but again its FFA and most of my eneimes are also doing it) but it was really my heavy that put me in a position to win games. I always run out of ammo with the matador, then have to thorn people all game long because no one leaves special ammo. I dont think my hunter is godly, but it is REALLY REALLY strong. Personally im sad that thorn will likely not be coming back for year 2, but I am excited for the changes to eveything else (shotguns need a nerf, blink doesnt need invicible frames,) Btw am I the only hunter who doesnt use mask of the 3rd man.... I mean just wow at how many times I still see that vannila exotic on a max grimore hunter (eveyone has their favorite) but since my hunter is my newest I try to spend time with all of my exotic armor. TLDR: op makes alot of good points and presents alot of information, however in my experience just being a bladedancer doesnt make you awesome.... (the heavy is what makes me awesome)

  • Lucky Raspberry is the exotic to be using on BD imo. Screw Mask of the Third Man. Arcbolt after every respawn? Yes... is that even a question?

  • Arcbolt is great, but firebolt is the worst than the plague

  • Good job using something else besides Mask of the Third man. I read somewhere that it only gives you 2 extra swipes. There are a lot of other really good exotics for the Hunter that benefit you all the time, rather than just when you are in super. I also just made a Hunter a few weeks ago and I'm surprised at how easy Arc Blade was to use after running Striker since Beta. I am trying to kick the habit of saving my Super for heavy ammo or when multiple people are capping a point.
