They do say it though. On the forums. I've seen it more than once.
Of course that's on the forums, where a small percentage of the population complain and end up appearing to be a much larger percent of the population.

I really think that's more a reply when people say they are so OP. I see people respond saying you can kill a blade dancer with Shotgun Melee. Or Gunslinger can be killed as normal. Unless the people are straight up morons, people don't just outright say they need a buff.
