I think it should be a sniper they take to exotic. Think about it. It's a boss melting legendary as is and the reason it's being nerfed as I have seen is because it's too powerful. Bungie already stated that with each exotic they like to break a few rules so by making it an exotic sniper you are able to keep the perk rolls, have its perks stay the same. And you get to keep the almighty black hammer. And I mean it already sounds like a boss exotic with that name as is.
