I've used Golden Gun on "A" spawn and killed the other team on "C" heavy ammo on Twilight Gap. That's about as far a shot as there is outside of the Combined Arms maps. GG has almost unlimited range and crazy aim assist if you build your subclass for it, although with 2 Hunters you should know that...
FoH is supposed to be hard to avoid at close range, otherwise it would be useless. If you see a Titan max jump in front of you, you have time to shoot them out of the air or jump away/at them. If you see them charging at you or into a room, you have limited time to do something about it. Otherwise, you're -blam!-ed.

I've used gg there and it doesn't 1 hit them.

It absolutely does. I've gotten multi kills from that spot.

I've stayed at the sniper spot used gg and only gotten hitmarkers but they may have fixed that because that may have been when gg was glitched. (I'm not sure the dates when I tried to do this but have you uses the nighthawk on crota? It's awesome.)

You need to be using Over The Horizon to kill at that range and I've done it at various times in the last month or so, which is how I know it works. I've never used the Nighthawk on Crota, mostly all of my old raid buddies quit playing, but I do use it most frequently for PvE stuff. Love it in Solar burn Nightfall strikes with Combustion on.
