If you're going to post something that's trying to criticize - at least get the whole story.

Hey, how dare you suggust such a sensible thing! Seriously, though, I try to avoid discussions and topics involving "offensive to (insert demographic here)" because they always skew things said in their favor and seek out battles where none should be found. You can't even take good natured jabs at your buddies these days without someone who does not understand the situation or your relationship with that person taking it out of context and getting offended. When I read that first Nolan North comment, I had no earthly idea what he was talking about. Then I saw the comments and immediately wanted to side with North just because it sounded like another person getting bashed for something the didn't actually say or imply. Then I saw the followup and bam! I was right. Since when did the rest of us lose our rights to freedom of speech because some people can't take a joke/don't understand the joke?

People are overly sensitive now days one joke and some group gets all pissy about it. Pretty soon comedian will not be able to perform anymore for fear of pissing someone off. It's a shame. When people used to be able to joke with each other. Now so many groups, sects, or etc etc you can't joke about or someone is out calling for your head.

We live in a time when being political correct has taken on a zealot fervor. The days are gone when people could laugh at jokes without worrying about the pitchforks and torches. Now if you fart in the wrong direction, you'll be persecuted that you're being sensitive to the people down-wind.

I fart in your general direction...
