I feel as if it has to do with the Abyss section of the Crota Raid. It's the only place I can think of with lamps and guards.
Also, Exalted is a title most commonly seen on Hive enemies.
I'm going to have to say the Thrall in the Abyss.
Edit: Nevermind. Saw further down that they aren't the Abyss lamps.
