Its safe to say this exotic is on the list of exotics that are never used. One could say that it's almost completely useless. If you are using blessing... Once the shield goes down you run back to the bubble and with weapons, it's usually used in a boss fight for example when against atheon you pop the bubble in the back move up shoot till weapons are gone and then back up again. I think the upgrade on it should be changed to one of the two. Grants weapons of light and blessing of light when helmet is equipped Or Double the effects of blessing of light or weapons of light.
These changes could be made to a year 2 version of the glasshouse for when the taken king comes out

Edited by HELP1NG HAND: 9/9/2015 4:11:49 PM[WARNING: Long post!] I agree. In its current state, it is next to entirely useless. Its intellect boost is sensible and I'm glad that it at least changes color with shaders now. But that's about where the positives stop. The helmet is just a bad, confused exotic. The exotic perk lends to working outside of the ward, but the other perks are all over the place and don't really lend any synergy to this approach. Plus, an extended perk time with WoL or BoL is in itself incredibly situational at best. With Blessing of Light, it doesn't matter how long it lasts, as the perk is often utilized in areas where there is significant incoming fire. The shield buys you time out in that fire, and rarely expires anyway -but is instead destroyed. You then retreat into the ward, reload, heal, and come back out with a new shield. Weapons of light is better, but is in a similar boat, as with most weapons your not going to be firing for 15 seconds straight anyway. Instead you will trade fire with the enemy, and reload. While you do so, it makes sense to step back into the Ward to reload without being shot full of holes, and come back out swinging with a full mag and a renewed buff. As a support oriented player, and someone who mains a defender titan, I find the idea behind the Glasshouse very attractive. Its the only exotic that increases the Defender's performance-boosting support aspects. However its just a bad exotic. It does have one good use: Atheon. But that's really it. In order for the glasshouse to be improved adequately, it would need a serious overhaul. It would really have to allow a defender to equip both Weapons AND blessing of light, and it would have to sport secondary perks that synergized with working outside of the ward. The pure focus on intellect is good, and quintessence transfer is okay, but rain blows is out of place. Better options would be melee hits reduce grenade cooldown, Inverse Shadow, or doing something to increase the strength of the buffs. With a refocus, the Glasshouse could be a feasible option for a support oriented Defender. But as it stands now, it is too scattered and ineffective to really merit its exotic slot, and arguably its helmet slot as well.

Edited by Spaceman: 8/31/2015 5:34:57 AMI think they should change the perk to allow you to shoot through the bubble. That would make the helm very slick indeed.

Or have blessing of light be the passive, so it'll always give you a shield even if you're rocking WoLight or AoLight in or outta the shield

Honestly I don't think either of these are a great solution, but I do believe that Glasshouse is underwhelming. As you said, everyone just reenters the bubble to refresh their bonus when it's out, so they only time Glasshouse is beneficial is giving an extra 5 seconds of bonus of you refresh right before the bubble disappears. If it granted both Weapons and Blessing of Light, I think it would be overpowered, and would quickly become the only exotic used by Defenders. The most important choice a Defender has to make for their super is whether to run Weapons, Blessing or Armor, and eliminating that choice by providing them for you isn't the best idea. As for doubling the bonus provided, that would just be insanely overpowered. If a Defender runs Illuminated, the bonus provided by Weapons/Blessing is +35% damage or shield. Doubling that to +70% would make the hardest PvE encounters feel trivial, and would make PvP teams with one or two Defender Titans incredibly hard to beat if they were well coordinated with their bubble usage. I think the best way to make Glasshouse more viable is to have it provide the perk Illuminated for you, so you're always getting the extra damage/shield, and are able to pick a different perk from that tree.
