So when a guardian dies, at least while their ghost is alive, they are conscious and even able to see visions depending on where they died/ killed themselves. This leads me to think that either Ghosts hold the guardians consciousness when they die, and this means that if a guardian can see things while within their ghost the ghost is hiding something perhaps unconsciously. Or when a guardian dies they are able to access another plane of reality/ dimension (perhaps the void) this could be similar to an afterlife.
Also the mechanics of Fireborn comes into question because a guardian is able to revive itself and potentially their ghost after they've been killed and consumed by the darkness. Another thing is when a ghost revives a guardian they essentially remake them atom by atom and then pump them full of light. So if a guardian is wearing bones of an ahamkara and a ghost is able to revive them while the guardian can still hear the voice of it then that is very interesting.
Sorry for rambling but I've put some thought into it and am intrigued by the subject.
