Ok don't think so hard. When a guardian is "killed" let's say in crucible. They are technically still alive waiting to be revived. If they don't revive themselves in time they will die for good (if I'm correct). A guardian can be killed immediately if what's killing them is dark enough let's say crota or the darkness itself.
Different Part:
Thanonauts are warlocks that will purposely kill themselves and almost risk dying for good to see a vision of the darkness, the void (where the traveler and darkness come from) or something else.

Edited by A Pumpkin Spice Bagel: 9/1/2015 8:11:09 AMOk but when a guardian dies their ghost breaks down their body and things around them and then recreates the guardian exactly. So how can they still be alive unless their consciousness is brought somewhere else or downloaded into the ghost itself. Edit: Also when a guardian is killed they have to wait different amount of time to revive and can sometimes not even revive themselves. So is being revived a conscious act, brought on by ghosts who just so happen to know exactly when the guardian wants to be revived without prior knowledge, or perhaps brought on by external forces such as another guardian's light.

You're acting like we know this I doubt Bungie do either. I'm assuming since the ghost brought us back from a skeleton once he can do it again. There isn't a bible for this (as we know of. there is for halo) you're looking for answers that most likely don't exist. Trust me I've done that before it's just a waste of time.

ok m8. Sorry. I'm just trying to compile evidence through grimoire, the game, and common logic, and wanted an external opinion without having to wait for Bungie to outright tell me in bold what I want to know.

Oh no it's fine I'm just saying some questions don't have answers yet
