Hello, guys. It is Finky Bean here, and I shall be conducting a few social experiments on the #Offtopic forums. I need you guys to bear with me here. This will be happening over a course of a few weeks. Here is my first experimental question.
You work the register at a diner. You are making minimum wage and are struggling financially with a wife and two kids. There is this gorgeous waitress that gets a lot of tips and has a better hourly wage than you. Not only this, but her husband is a businessman that pockets about 500K a year, excluding deductibles. They have no children. One family walked out without formally handing the tip to the waitress. She was going back into the kitchen to get a meal for the next table. They hand you the tip and ask you to hand it to her whenever you get the chance. But again, she has a lot of money and you could really need it, being that you are supporting children and she isn't. The family is a regular at the diner and always uses the waitress, who has enough money at home. What would you do?

I'd give her the tip
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
Give it to her. She earned it, not me.
-
Give it to her duh!
-
Wasn't my tip, give it to her.
-
She serviced them, I didn't. I don't deserve to take the money she earned.
-
To be honest if her husband earns that much she doesn't need that money anyway. At least I am better than other people in the way that I post my honest opinion instead of trying to look nice.
-
I have a minimum wage job at a diner, a wife, and 2 kids. What am I, black?
-
Give her the money. Some of us aren't jerks
-
They gave me the money to give to her. I have to honour that.
-
Tough one. I'd probably pocket it at first, but then I have guilt set in and I'd practically force my self to give her what she earned. Who knows, maybe she can help me out a bit?
-
Well, if I have a wife and kids and are having money troubles, I'll keep the tip for myself. The waitress has a husband and no kids to take care of. I know that it may be wrong, to keep the money that was supposed to be for someone else and not saying anything about it, but I would need it more, for the kids.
-
Take the money unless she asks for it
-
I would give it to her. simple. however, in the case that my family and I are dirt-poor, I'd take the money without her knowing, and pay her back in the future.
