For vault space or backpack space reasons. If we had infinite space then this idea would be pointless.
That was a good question though. Does that make sense?

Ahaaa got ya! I like it. So kind of a different storage, where you throw an item away, but it can be redeemed later if you ever want it back, thus reducing the massive pile of stuff in the vault? Very nice!

Exactly. Kind of mixing the idea of the blueprint and the kiosks for shades and emblems we are getting in TTK. Honestly, my idea could be a kiosk too.
