It'll be a tough battle between MGSV & The Witcher 3, both are incredible games that are flawlessly made. The issue here though is that MGSV, a game which revolutionized the stealth genre of video games will have the upper hand due to it being such a old and beloved series. MGSV vs fallout 4 however will he a completely different story and if fallout 4 is actually counted as 2015 game when the awards go out (I'm pretty sure any game released on November and after is added to the 2016 pool) then fallout 4 will be the winner clearly just by its popularity.

8 RepliesIf I've never played a MGS game before will I enjoy the phantom pain? I'm on the fence about buying it. It looks great, but I watched like the first hour of gameplay and I'm so lost as to what is happening.

Phantom Pain has awful story. Only 36 story mission and one secret true ending mission rest are repeats with higher difficulty. [spoiler]You play as the medic in ground zeroes who becomes phantom Big Boss. [/spoiler]

In my Opinion it would be Witcher 3, Fallout 4 hasn't come out so i can't judge (super hyped for it tho), MGS V has an "ok" story with a veeeeery boring open world and a good portion of repetitiveness (wouldn't care if it changed the area with every mission but it doesn't). Tbh i find Mad Max very fun (yet still has a lot of repetitive scenarios) so i may throw a bone for it. I don't consider Exclusives as GOTY unless they won that title for their respective console, so i expect Bloodmeme and Halo 5: kekdians to win in their respective consoles(leaning over Gears of War Ultimate edition to win for the X1 tho). I'll have to wait until Super Mario Maker comes out to see if it's good enough to win GOTY for Wii U. As for the big(kek) websites decisions, the only contenders they consider worthy are MGSV, Fallout 4 and Witcher 3. Hopefully all of you start controlling your triggers and learn that everyone has different tastes.
