He nods.
I'll get to work on that.
he heads inside and emerges a few minutes later with breakfast burritos
Catch.

*She catches the one he tosses her, nodding her thanks before unwrapping it and taking a bite* "Ahhhh..."

Edited by Ex PI: 9/3/2015 10:32:22 PMStephenson seems to swallow his whole, then guns the boat toward a nearby dock. And here we are. Neo-Centra. I need a minute to change clothes. He disappears inside the cabin.
-
"Alright. I'll change once you are done." *She moves to the back of the ship and keeps an eye on the motor*
-
A few minutes later, Stephenson kicks the door open, dressed impeccably in a new suit, tie, tan coat, and his battered yet omnipresent fedora. Feels good to be back.
-
"Heh. Nice outfit. Now it's my turn." *She walks past into the room, then turns before entering* "No peeking or I shoot." *She slams the door shut*
-
Stephenson hops onto the dock and ties up the boat, then leans against a post to wait.
-
*Shiro steps out clad in her uniform from training, smiling as she reaches back and pulls a sombrero, flourishing it as she dons it* "I well.... Borrowed the uniform for a bit. I don't think they will mind much." *She grins as steps up onto the dock*
-
I like it. Why the hat? Is it a family thing?
-
"Family tradition. And sombreros look cool."
-
I get what you mean. The detective pulls out a heavy-looking pistol with gold leaf trim on the barrel and the magazine cylinder, then flips out the chamber and checks the thumb-sized bullets inside. He reaches into his coat and hands Shiroe a similarly decorated automatic. This place looks too clean. That means it's probably seedier than a dandelion field in spring. Keep this on you, and leave everything else here.
-
"If ya say so." *She inspects the pistol, then flips the safety and spins the pistol before holstering it on her hip holster* "Just like a cowboy...."
-
Stephenson groans. No, no, no. If you walk around with a spitter in plain view, it'll only draw attention. He slides his own weapon into a shoulder holster, then smooths it down. Keep it inside your coat and no sap'll be the wiser.
-
"Ahhh, you take all the fun out of it." *She smirks as she makes the pistol vanish into her coat* "Now what? I can take to the rooftops and scan the area while you take it from the streets."
-
The detective frowns again. Wrong again. Your way works, but to do this right, we need to immerse ourselves in the biomass.
-
"Ahhhhh.... Fine." *She sighs and gestures around* "Now where?"
-
Into the city. My apartment's in Downtown, but I wired back to the office, and we've got a case. A vigilante killer, with quite a messed-up head.
-
"That's it? How do they want it done? Do they want us to take him alive or just take him out quietly?"
-
The detective looks at her, stupefied. Shiroe, I'm a detective. Do you think people hire me out for assassinations? We need to find the guy, get him to talk, and dump him at the nearest cop parlor. He smiles and waves toward the city. And if your nanobot things can take notes, that'd be good. The agency needs a new set of eyes and ears.
-
"Ugh.... Fine. Let's go get him then."
New post?
-
Sure.
