I wouldn't be surprised if they incorporated something like that, if not right away, then at some point. I still think they'll bring back those old Public Events at some point or another. (My current theory being during the Vex dlc in year two, they'll create temporal fields and screw with time, perhaps randomizing events occurring throughout the world... Would be funny to see the previous public events occur, but with Vex also spawning throughout them.
