Are these the events only, or will things like the ether runner or Wolves' guard be removed as well.

All of the public content from House of Wolves is being removed, courtesy of Bungie. "That's enough fun for you!"

Only the spawns, the others are staying, but it's very possible they will change into Taken as that will be the next public event.
