Ya know, this could have been solved in a very simple way. [b]Use instanced patrol areas[/b]. They are already in some sense and limited the players allowed in each instance so it wouldn't be hard to use a check value in the code to push a player into a instance where the wolves exist. Make it based upon HoW story completion, if you have it done you get pushed into the "wolves a gone now" instance, if not then you get the ones that still have the wolves.
This way, new players can still get all the content and old players who haven't completed it do too, but those who have done all that don't. It keeps "story" continuity and stills lets players experience it if they haven't had the chance.

My idea was to have several different version of patrol; se we would have one for each DLC.

Also an option. Just another lack of foresight by dev. So what's going to happen to new players? Are they NEVER going to get the chance to match grimoire score with old players. I get that it is a cool nod to early adopters but seems like there should be a better way.
