They need the extra money to pay off Marty what he's due. Good to see him win against his oppressors.

I'm just waiting for buttmad Desticles to come in here to find some excuse to make Bungie the good guy.
-
Bump.

Will never be worth £40! I'm getting legendary for £37, selling base game and DLC 1 and 2 for £25, therefore costing me £15 and scummy bungie/Activision getting less of my money :)

Edited by PizzaMan725: 9/7/2015 4:09:13 AMIt was wrong for Bungie to take his stock and not pay his vacation time. Though it really sounded like he completely over reacted, and all over one commercial.

Ooookaaaay?
-
But they were all ready in the game

reported for spam and trolling....

He wanted to be able to sell his music ad a stand alone. Idk why people are acting like this is some big thing...that seems like a normal business dispute. He was one of seven founder of bungie. The other 6 seem happy

Oppressors? Very poor choice of words
-
He was correct Bungie backed him He started slowing production and annoying coworkers Coworkers complain Bungie fires him Pretty simple
-
Well, I'm glad he's going to get his money. He deserves for making such a beautiful soundtrack for this game. Still going to pre-order TTK though.

I realize this is somewhat a satire/troll thread but simply put all the DLC's have been worth in terms of " hours played of repetitive content " however not worth in "content quality/quantity"

If he's an original founder of the 7th column. The other 6 should've stood next to him, and blasted Activision. There's a serious loyalty issue there. Especially for people that spent 15 years building a company.
story was revised
I like how everyone here immediately thinks this means things were cut up to hurt the fans. That doesn't even make sense. What if there were loop holes? What if there were plot holes? What if the story just wasn't good? What if it was predictable? What if it just didn't work? No. We can't think logically here. It always has to be "Bungie cut cut cut money Activision illuminati Bungie hates their player base!!!1!!111!" Now yes, I've seen the one cut cutscene "out here in the wild, this is how we talk" from the E3 trailer. I've also read the "leaked" "old destiny story" and honestly, that story -blam!-ing sucked. It didn't have motive, it wasn't compelling, and it wasn't in depth. And the reason the in game story sucks now is because Bungie just didn't have time to fix it. But it remains in the Grimoire (the new story that didn't make it all the way into the game) which is very in depth and compelling. With TTK, we've seen more story in the first mission than all of the story missions in the vanilla game combined (hyperbole, but it is 10x than the vanilla story missions). And in the trailers, story also lyes. (Now you may say they'll cut it like the did the original, but the game really can't afford a hit like that right now. That'd truly kill it and Bungie knows it. If you've seen interviews, you'd see that the developers know the screwed up bad) Marty put a lot into his work, I understand that. I understand why he acted as he did. I get it. But he shouldn't have acted that way. It just wasn't a mature way to act. Especially since afterwards, he stopped working hard on his pieces. It's a shame Activision did that. It's in the past. What happened to us looking forward to TTK? Can we do that?
-
After reading that you all think Marty's in the right? What he done was shocking and he left Bungie no choice but to fire him. Activision did NOTHING WRONG, Just because they didn't want to use Marty's music he goes and becomes a DIVA? He made people at Bungie uncomfortable. You shouldn't encourage what he did OVER a soundtrack.
-
Screw corporates. Get your dirty hands off our games so we can just enjoy them without you money grabbers making terrible decisions.
-
Got to have tribute for Activision or they might take the creative freedom away and tell Bungie how they want Destiny 2 to be made.
-
Cancel your TTK pre-orders. We must make Activision bleed.
-
Ok I enjoy led zep, but I wonder id this has anything to do with the ttk trailer music. Because it did not fit at all.
-
I hate activision
