AND THEY GAVE US THE MIDDLE FINGER!!!
The ODonnell vs Bungie legal battle is over and the truth prevail and is visible for all of Us to see and confirm that BUNGIE NO LONGER CARES FOR QUALITY, BUNGIE NO LONGER CARES FOR THEIR FANS, BUNGIE ONLY CARES OF PROFITS.
Marty stood against Activision decision to transform the musical score of Destiny from a gourmet dinner to a fast food meal.
Ex-Bungie composer Marty O’Donnell wins epic legal fight with former bosses.
Based on this information and how obsessed by quality and fans are Marty and Joseph Staten, We can imagine why Joseph also left Bungie and maybe that the Destiny original story theory is not so a theory but a reality. If Activision messed with the music then for sure they messed with the story. Even Marcus Lehto is gone.
Seriously, this is really disappointing, for the first time since Pathways Into Darkness Im disgusted with Bungie.
Marty, You have proven that You really cared for Us. Your place in history will always be bright and inspiring.
What a shame Bungie, really what a shame...

Edited by Iji The Killer: 9/5/2015 9:22:24 AMDid you even read the whole article? Marty threw a temper tantrum and was fired for it. Bungie took his stock, which was wrong in my opinion but Marty kept company property which is a fire able offense at any business. Both parties were wrong and an arbiter mediated and fixed the situation. Marty is a baby who didn't get his way at E3 and wasn't performing then got himself fired. Bungie should not have taken his stocks away. Marty should not have kept Bungie property. Arbiter made Marty give Bungie there property back and Marty got his stocks. Seems like both parties could have handled the situation better to begin with.

Donnel seems like a douche... why get mad, refuse to work, ask money for work he did not do because Activision decided to use something else lol... A shame bungie has to pay his sorry ass you mean..
-
Just makes Bungie look like total wankers
-
What I hope and sincerely believe would be the rise of Destiny's golden age is if activision was removed from decision making somehow and bungie got it's creative freedom back! That is a cause I would gladly donate to!

Edited by oPROFESSIONALo: 9/5/2015 9:43:50 AMIt took a you a year? Anyone here remember the loading screen of alpha and beta!?!?!?! It showed Oryx ship and fleet... They cashed in on us hard as shit, some YouTube dude laid it all out.
-
bit of a sickening read, but if the 10 year contract started in 2010 does that mean Bungie are only tied to Activision for 5 more years.
-
Confirmed: Squidguy is the best guy around.

Edited by FusionomaD: 9/5/2015 9:37:00 AMwe all know activision is fast becoming cancer in the gaming industry. problem I have is the white knite's for Bungie they knew who they were getting into bed with stop defending them

reply for l8ter
-
Baffling information, it needs to be spread before Bungie, or the ninjas, decide to hide it.
-
This shows the true face of the type of relationship or character that has been created from an Activision - Bungie partnership. This is disgusting. I would love to read a post on how Bungie feels about reading these posts. Like do you think they are shaking their heads right now going "We know we messed up, and we regret it?" Obviously they aren't from a financial standpoint as it's clear that it is a successful business, but do you think they are proud of what this creation is now and what could have been if it wasn't for Activision?

Edited by A Titan: 9/5/2015 9:09:53 AMR.I.P bungie 2000-2010. it was goid while it lasted but they scummed to the money
-
Explains it all really, Bungie became dark. They don't give a shit about their fans anymore. Activision corrupted them
-
Someone say... Souls?

Illuminati
-
Oh for fuçks sake. HE THREATENED BUNGIE EMPLOYEES AND REFUSED TO WORK! OF COURSE HE WAS GOING TO GET FIRED. BUNGIE DIDNT BETRAY HIM. HE HAD RYAN'S SUPPORT UNTIL HE ATTACKED EMPLOYEES. ITS HIS OWN FAULT
-
You guys should take Marty's advise.
In an interview with GamesBeat, O’Donnell said, “I”m happy this is over, and I’m ready to move on.”
-
You guys are so late on this...
-
Bungies cooperation with Microsoft sounds like a breeze compared to this...
-
im wondering why over the past year it was bungie that got rediculed for the bad quality when in fact it was activision that holds the reins on the entire project
-
The guy was edged out of creative control by -blam!-ing marketing executives with Bungies upper management vetoing his attempts to assert control and completely selling out to their new masters. His anger is understandable and is why the arbitration sided with him on every issue.

Businesses are ALWAYS about the profit. Those who don't fall in line with that concept within the business usually aren't around when the company grows and starts to see change from the original mission statement. There has been no corruption. Pure ignorance on the idea to post this as a travesty. I guess when needing attention people will do a lot for it.

Love you Marty. HIGHWIRE GAMES BABY. Joe will you join him??? Maybe .. Mahbe

Couldnt care less. People ought to respect activision for what they have done for you! Filthy scrubs
