Was it? There were a ton more problems with the 360 than ps3 if i recall

360 had some serious issues at launch, but they fixed that at their own expense and those issues had all but disappeared after a year or two.

Yet the PS3 is more powerful than 360 and outsold it. Heck the only reason 360 was ever ahead was due to a year head start.

The PS3 only marginally outsold the 360, and it certainly wasn't due to the years head start, PS3 faltered out the gate due to it's absurd price tag. It certainly caught up though, but this is because of its strong reach in Europe and particularly Japan, a market Xbox has failed to breach even a little. But it's a matter of preference, PS3 was more powerful and slightly more reliable, the 360 had a much stronger online infrastructure and a cheaper price point, and arguably a much better controller.

PS3 outsold the 360 month after month from the time it launched. If it launched at the same time as the 360 they wouldn't even be close
