Bungie still is the one making the game and therefore hold the power over Activision by not creating more content.
I'm sorry, please don't take this the wrong way, I don't understand contracts, they do not have the power. I've read the contract between Bungie and Activision, there are so many clauses and determinations in it that dictate what Bungie can or cannot do when making the game. It even dictates how often DLC is to come out, what development cycles must be met. Listen, I'm not saying Bungie did an amazing job, they didn't, at best Destiny (Vanilla) had great gameplay, but lacked in just about every other area, story was non-existent, the structure of the game was disjointed and the progression system was tied to a RNG system which is only bad news. Yet, the game showed much promise, even early on reviewers could see the potential of the game of this nature and fans we have seen this too, I think this is why many still play this game, they see what Bungie can do. I say Activision is the problem, it's because they are, Bungie did make the game, they have some of the responsibility but when you are dictated to and shutdown during the process forced to change the story last minute, your hands are no longer your own and Acitivison did that to Bungie.

 • I'm guessing most of what we saw was done for awhile and then cut and chopped up into dlc by activison. To accommodate these changes the story was probably removed along with several other things...I mean it was confirmed that Peter Dinklage recorded way more Ghost dialogue than what we saw. That's the reason so many people have left. They saw their work bastardized and Bungie shouldn't have made the deal they made, but those guys left in charge are bastards for sure. They let this happen and they are ok with it.

 • I can agree with you there, many aspects of this game are clear, it shows that there were two heads thinking of one thing and you can see where it made a mess of it all. There is a saying that goes "Good employees don't quit their jobs, they quit their bosses." The new bosses are Activision, many of the founders of Bungie are gone, many of the Halo directors, Storyline creators are gone, and I honestly believe Activision is the cause.
