This is all in Activision, guys. Bungie cares about us and this game. They just don't have the money to support a game like this. Activision knows how to make money. With minimal effort. Bungie knows how to make amazing games. Problem is is that Activision is holding them back.

"They just don't have the money to support a game like this." That's something I'll never understand. Why didn't they start small with Destiny? Even if they didn't have tons of money, they had resources, and beyond that: they had reputation. Why didn't they release the first part of Destiny as a more humble game, with a single-player campaign and a memorable story that would hook players to the world? Instead, they went "huge" from the get go. Ten year plan. Big names attached. Unlimited money. Would have been nice if they had been able to create the product they wanted, instead of the fragmented easy to consume bits of videogame that Activision wanted to package and sell. And hey, it seems to be working after all, right? Destiny sold well. People play it. That must mean the formula works. Why make art when you can make this mess?

Bungie is the one that decided to turn up their rump for activision. Activision did nothing surprising here, bungie did. If anything bungie is more to blame than activision. Do you blame the devil, or the person who willingly made a deal with him?
