I've been reading the replies. Blame Activision, give Bungie a pass. Most of the developers and soldiers for Bungie? Sure, I can do that. But Bungie as a company? Nope. Activision's proclivities as a company has been known for decades. Bungie (the management) would have known this. They chose to crawl in to bed with that dog, now they have it's flees.
Nothing Activision has done is a surprise to any of us, do you seriously think that Bungie as a company was naive enough to think it would be different with them?

Edited by EDIT: 9/5/2015 4:58:12 PMI agree with everything you stated. I think Bungie's upper management just has too much of an EGO, and needs to be knocked down several pegs. I think they didn't think it would happen to them... and that they were smarter than other companies Activision controls.
-
Exactly what I was thinking.
-
Bungie IS activistsion thats like saying -blam!- Walmart but target is okay.
-
you mean -blam!- walmart but sams club is ok?
-
Walmart owns target too yo ;)
-
Wrong, Target is owned by Dayton Hudson Corporation
-
Majority stock holders are also majority stock holders in Walmart... That's how free trade works homie.
-
Post said Walmart "owns" Target. That statement is false. Saying that stock holders own a company is different. Stockholders don't own the company, they own a piece of the company. The Waltons own Walmart, the Daytons own Target. That's how business works, buddy.
-
Buddy if you start a business and I invest for a 51% stake then guess what... I call the shots as I have more seats on the board. Doesn't matter who founded it. That is how business works.
-
You think target owns less than 51% in their own company? I'll research but I highly doubt it.
-
Happens all the time, look at Apple
-
Just a quick google search to prove your worth. Target https://finance.yahoo.com/q/mh?s=TGT+Major+Holders Apple https://finance.yahoo.com/q/mh?s=AAPL+Major+Holders Not that it matters but you should really know your facts before posting. A company as large as Target letting anyone purchase 51% stake in their company is downright idiotic. I understand business and how it works. I also know that if larger companies out there let someone buy majority shares its called a takeover. Walmart is not making a move to takeover Target.
-
Do you see any founders of Apple as major shareholders?
-
Tim Cook is Apple and holds the most
-
He is not a founder... That was your whole argument.
-
No, not my argument. My argument was Apple still owns Apple and Target still owns Target, but nice try.
-
Target doesn't own target... The majority shareholders own target.
-
Dude, never mind. Your mind is made up, as wrong as it may be. Done arguing with stupidity. Muted
-
Truth.
