I said at day -blam!-ing 1 they cut tons of content to sell to us as dlc which is why they had the all the DLC in the first trailer and on disc during launch, the game had a better story and had tons more content then what we got, all the fanboys cried I was a liar and crazy for not trusting bungie and look who is laughing now sheeple.
The evidence is in what we got lets see.
game was missing tons of story and content we saw in trailer.
The article talks about massive change toward release date.
Game had day 1 season pass/ DLC preorder.
The content in the trailer is in fact now dlc, see the reef in the original trailer as one example.
DLC content is found on disc because people glitched into it and even collected ghosts.
Story made no sense and was extremely short.
worlds promised in trailer was not found in vanilla destiny such as saturn.
Game mechanics such as your drop ship dropping you off as well as friends live during game play doesn't appear also destructible drops ships as well ( this is said because it wouldn't work on the older consoles and they wanted to maximize profits so they weakened current gen destiny for old gen destiny, they sort of admitted they took down the graphics etc of current gen destiny to keep it on par with last gen)

I love how everything you said has no proof and nothing to do with the article
-
No proof? the -blam!-ing game was evidence enough like I stated and it does have to do with the article but seeing how you do not have the ability to both read and think is where the issue lies.
-
Using the game as 'evidence' is a non-starter since you don't have another version o Destiny to compare it to. Your argument amounts to 'I said it, because it's true' with no facts whatsoever to back it up. Nearly everything you have written, not just what I'm resonding to, is either an opinion or an illogical conclusion.

Edited by Jorgieus-: 9/5/2015 5:54:49 PM"Using the game as 'evidence' is a non-starter since you don't have another version o Destiny to compare it " trailers and interviews, you can tell also including various other pieces not listed here, compare what was shown in the trailers etc with what we got and you have proof enough. "Your argument amounts to 'I said it, because it's true' with no facts whatsoever to back it up. Nearly everything you have written, not just what I'm resonding to, is either an opinion or an illogical conclusion." Illogical conclusion ? go -blam!- yourself with a rocket, so 'all that put together is a "logical conclusion" ? you have to be a troll to ignore activision has a hand in this and their businesses model is push DLC, it was delayed for ages and came out with day one DLC pre orders with a broken story line which made no sense after the lore guy that spend years on it left.
-
Where is that article does it say they cut content? They say there was a rewrite. It's an leap to get to your conclusion.
-
After reading several of your posts, I'm curious to know why you are defending Bungie/Activision so hard? Do you secretly work for either one of them, and just posing as a users here. Or are you that much of a fanboy?
-
Edited by Din: 9/5/2015 5:00:42 PMI'm not a fanboy at all. I'd drop this game in a second if something better came out. I just don't jump to conclusions. In not defending Bungie. I'm reading this stuff with an open mind. Edit: no I don't work at Bungie.
-
I call foul on our claim that you are reading this stuff with an open mind... because the theme and direction of your posts contradicts that.
-
Can you provide an example?

"While Destiny was planned for a September 2013 release, the story was substantially revised in August 2013. That pushed the release date back to March 2014. O’Donnell returned to work after a vacation, but the audio team and his supervisor did not consider him to be fully engaged in his work. The release date of the game, meanwhile, pushed back to September 2014. Bungie set in motion a process to terminate O’Donnell." Look at the trailer notice how a lot of content is missing also notice alot of it is sold as dlc later on, also notice day 1 DLC. It's not a leap it's a logical conclusion, also the story writer the guy that spend years on the lore left due to cut issues.

Nothing about cutting anything. How do you know they didn't make it better? How do you know? You don't.

Edited by Jorgieus-: 9/5/2015 5:25:20 PM"How do you know they didn't make it better?" Because I saw the trailers and interviews and then played the launch game, did you not play it or something? how is the game lacking tons of content in the trailers and interviews better how is a game which was tone down for last gen better? do you even think before you argue ? "The story was substantially revised in August 2013." Clearly you do not understand corporate speak, you can tell from the guy that wrote the lore that left, to the lack of story we had, to the fact areas in the trailer became DLC that they cut things is order to sell as DLC, they cut story to cut costs etc.
-
I only played beta. look. I don't know how he game changed. If it was significant. Of if had a big impact on the story. None of us do. Not you Not me You can make all the assumptions you want, but that's all. The only opinion that matters is if you like the game. Do you like it? Not, I would have liked it better if............. Do you like it. That's all that matters.

I only played beta. look. I don't know how he game changed. If it was significant. Of if had a big impact on the story. None of us do. I read the cut lore, it was extremely better and even made perfect sense with the story line, the traveller was the villian of the story etc which fits the whole anti Christ theme of the game with the fallen, the speaker etc so do not give me that "none of us do" crap. "The only opinion that matters is if you like the game. Do you like it? Not, I would have liked it better if............. Do you like it. That's all that matters." No no it doesn't clearly is why I'm arguing the point if you think that is all that matter then shut up and leave the comments don't waste my time or others that care about cut content etc go play the badly cut game, and go spend £40 for scraps of new content called TTK.

"Day 1 DLC". *facepalm* The day one dlc was a couple of green guns and a ghost shell.
-
Edited by Jorgieus-: 9/5/2015 5:14:05 PMMoron I will Post it again because you clearly had a brain fart "Game had day 1 season pass/ DLC preorder" Yes moron they were selling day 1 pre orders for DLC I was -blam!-ing offered it when I bought the game.
-
*facepalm* Excatly how many games do this now? Just about every single game that comes out. The only ones that don't do this are games that don't plan on DLC. Your point still holds no water.
-
Remember when people were crucified for saying Destiny was a shit game? I sure do.
