Yeah actually ther is, it was made specifically for the PS4 to support higher quality without taking up as much space

I guarantee you if you open up a PS4, the RAM is nothing special and definitely not specifically made for the PS4. Both consoles are just a computer with a special motherboard, nothing spectacular.

But it could be easily made just for a ps4 and wouldn't cost that much more

Yes but that's the thing, I have pulled apart a PS4 and it isn't just RAM from a sony computer.

Edited by Deterministic J: 9/5/2015 8:07:12 PMIt's Samsung GDDR5 that has been on NVIDIA graphics cards previously, it's very high quality, but not specific to the PS4. Samsung K4G41325FC-HC03 is the model number. RAM is too generic to be made specific for a certain product. Way too much cost involved to do such a thing.
