According to the article he felt hurt that they created their own separate trailer and didn't use the music he created for Destiny. He complained to them, they denied his request for them to use the music he created in place of theirs. He complained to Bungie, they supported him and complained to Activision. Activision denied them. This is over a trailer for E3 mind you.
After that incident he became disruptive at meetings and continued to protest. Activision threatened that if his behavior continued they would cancel their contract with Bungie (which means he must have done some really bad stuff). He went on a vacation later and when he got back, the team complained that he was uncooperative and underperforming. All good reasons for any company to fire an individual, co-founder or not.
Maybe your viewpoint is changed because you haven't seen this kind of stuff before and maybe haven't worked at any large companies or studios to know that this shit happens pretty frequently all over.

I agree with you completely. What most people don't realize as well, is there is 2 sides to every story. There's plenty of info that we do not know and are aware of
-
Well yeah it happens at big business's but I felt bungie was more "personal" Then we get a view on the inside of bungie it's completely different from what they try to let on
-
Why do people not understand, Bungie is a business, a business in a ruthless industry. Money is the bottom line and in gaming the companies main revenue comes in the first few months of a games release, after that piracy and used games take over and the company makes nothing on them. Do you think it is unfair for them to make money to continue making games.
-
Keep in mind this was ONE guy and it started with him choosing to be disruptive to everybody else over what started as a single E3 trailer's music not being his music. I don't think you can accurately judge the whole company and their culture based on just this one guy's debacle.

You do know Joe Staten left too, right? Lol dumb -blam!-ing desticle.
-
You mean this guy? The guy who voluntarily left and announced his plans to return to Microsoft for a higher level position? https://www.bungie.net/7_Its-been-an-honor/en/News/News?aid=11101 http://www.polygon.com/2014/1/9/5293310/former-bungie-bigwig-joe-staten-returns-to-microsoft

Oh look who learned how to use google! You should also look up how many lead directors quit in the middle of development.
-
I'm sorry, is this about the case of Marty O'Donnell or your bias against Bungie built on a handful of people quitting voluntarily for various explained and unexplained reasons?
-
I can't hear you over the Bungies D in your mouth, desticle. Once you decide to start paying attention to what's been said, this discussion can continue.
-
Once you actually comprehend what's said in the article as opposed to what you think is said, you can join the discussion without looking like you don't know what you're talking about.
