The ash finds cover behind a truck, and begins laughing
"This is funny, because you can't hurt me, you cannot extinguish my flame!"

A voice speaks. [i]Oh, really.[/i] A pistol round creases through the back of The Ash's unarmored, unprotected head.

The bullet hits the back of his head, but the wound turned to smoke, and when the smoke cleared, the wound was gone "As I said, you can't extinguish me."

A canister of liquid nitrogen, followed by several more, lands at your feet.

The ash pulls out a flamethrower and sprays all of them

Just as The Ash ignites his flamer, the canisters explode, and he feels his grip over his host body weakening.

The Ash laughs, "You can't freeze fire, you will be melted!" The ash started convulsing, but suddenly, grappled away and started running

More bullets cut his line, followed by another volley of nitrogen, which somehow seems more... potent? The Ash drops and convulses, and more cylinders drop and explode around him, until he is almost in a state of epileptic seizure.

The ash convulses for a second, and then stops moving, you walk over and check for a pulse, but you find none, the ash is dead, but he took Jack with him...

The soldier, uncaring of The Ash other than his cruelty, empties an entire pistol clip into the fallen man to ensure his demise. [i]Rot in hell, you sick mother-[expletive].[/i]

The body turns into literal ash, disintegrating until all that was left was a note and all of jacks weapons

The soldier picks up the note.

It said "Whoever finds this, means that you are the one who freed me from the ash, but I knew all along that I would never survive the ash being ripped away from me, so I have written this with what was left of my free will, whoever is reading this, I have a son, please give him my weapons, and let him read the last part of this note, Son, I'm sorry I never met you, but i swear it was for the best, you may ha-" The writing trailed off, meaning that Jack had lost control of his body once again.

The soldier places the notes and weapon in a duffel bag, then leaves it next to the ash pile that was Jack.
