Is it only tweens that use "bae" or is it an older set thing too? What happened to using girlfriend or boyfriend/wife or husband? -blam!- I'm old...

I could have sworn it meant "beginning and end" before, but like "lol" (lots of love), I guess things change.

I thought it was just the coloreds that said bae...

Actually..... The term "Bae" had been introduced in the 21st century as a way to make babe or boyfriend, girlfriend, Husband, Wife, shorter...(Did it really need to be shorter?...) At first it truly was a term used to shorten things and or used a easier to give your desired one a nickname... In my opinion, I hate when people use the term as it's extremely annoying... But in truth, it's way better than hearing smookipoo or various other love names. For the reason it got so popular... I truly don't know. Perhaps it was since of it being introduced to the internet... And no, the other comments in not true as Bae has been used by all races and has no point of racial origin.

It's predominantly a ghetto goblin thing.

Reminds me of the Hobbit. I wonder if they have a king.

I laughed too hard at this.
