Think about it from Marty's perspective though. Here you have a group of guys(Marty, Staten, the rest of Bungie) who are well known for their "Band of Brothers" philosophy. They're doing their thing making Destiny. Then Activision steps in with this relatively small change. This infuriates Marty because he's a legend but also because I'm sure it looks like the beginning of a slippery slope. Marty probably thought that if Activision was ballsy enough to change the Trailer music, how long till Activision starts changing other things? Or assuming total creative control? Ryan stands up for Marty at first but then rolls over which was probably seen as a serious stab in the back. If the CEO of Bungie won't stand up to Activision, who has the power then to do so?
