[b]At the site of the portal, Reggie repairs the door knocked down by the Matriarchy general. Reggie walks into the kitchen inside, and finds Nick at the table, tampering with the crystal the Professor had dropped off before getting captured.[/b] NICK-"Hey." [b]He says without looking up[/b] REGGIE-"Hey." [b]An awkward silence fills the room.[/b] NICK-"I can't figure out how the heck we're supposed to use this. Its just some crystal. We need a generator to run that portal. Not a relic." REGGIE-"Yeah. I'm still a little worried about that military outpost over there. I can't shake the feeling that the little "ordeal" that happened yesterday, isn't over." NICK-"I understand what you mean. But hopefully we're able to build this thing in peace." REGGIE-"Hopefully." [b]they finish eating, and Nick heads out to examine the portal, while Reggie goes and helps the robot construct their base.[/b] (closed)
