Curious if anyone can help me out. Bought an Elgato Game Capture HD to try to record Destiny gameplay from my 360, but the recording screen on the PC is just black.
Everything is properly hooked up, have tried every PC USB port, have tried multiple versions of the software and no fixes.
Elgato tech support said my setup should run it with no issues.
Can't find anything on the web with a fix either.

Edited by FXJ: 9/7/2015 2:33:00 AMHey Sols, In your settings on the Elgato Software for capture, do you have input device set as Xbox 360? Also make sure that the input section is properly set to HDMI or Component, which ever you are using. The other thing I might try changing is on your console. Make sure that in your display settings you have it set on 1080p or 720p, which ever you are trying to record on. Make sure it matches the settings you set on your Elgato. I say this because, I had a Happauge HDPVR that I used for my 360 a long while back, I accidentally had my settings on my 360 on 1080i(idk why) and when I recorded gameplay, I had strange scanlines and video problems. I changed my settings to 1080p and had no problems after that. That's all I can think of right now. Just send me a PM if you continue to have a problem, I'll do my best to figure out the solution to you problem. I've had numerous silly issues with my Elgato throughout the time I've owned it.
