The vault is just a portal for time salvation. if goku did destroy it, another would just take its place. Anyway, goku would not be able to kill the last gorgon by himself b/c its immune to supers which count as energy, I'm pretty sure

Goku has now become a god with the power level the same as the God of Destruction who can time travel. Goku could time travel to the creation of the vault and stop it ever existing. I suspect you don't know too much about the world of DB. The power of the Sayjin is infinite in reality and fate. Nothing can beat him because there's always a god or spirit that will bring him back, train him and send him back in time to destroy what destroyed him. He is like the chosen one of all, out of any fiction, any universe etc There has to be one. And it is Goku/kakorot
