So, we could sit here all day and argue back and forth about whether or not God exists Or We can just call a truce and let people believe what they want to believe
I personally prefer the second option
• What's in it for us? We leave your faith alone, something a lot of believers seem keen on, but how does that help the non believers?

 • Why not leave us alone? Christians don't hurt anybody. We do charities and donate money, food, medicine, etc to people who truly need it. We peacefully worship in our churches, and get needlessly bashed for doing so. One question I'd like to ask you is: why do you think it's so bad to be a Christian?

 • I don't think it's necessarily bad to be a christian, it's just quite obviously wrong. And when you base your life decisions on a two thousand year old book, it means common sense and decency can be thrown out of the window. Look at the gay issue; there is no evidence that being gay is a bad thing, a handful of lines in your book dictate the way many of you treat all those people.

 •
Because religious parents still beat their children for questioning
Not wholly true. I grew up religious, and when I told my parents I was having some doubts about our religion, we sat down and had a peaceful conversation and I felt much better afterwards.
Because atheists are still discriminated
I agree. That's very sad because some of my best friends are atheist and they're all really great guys. It's sad that atheists are mostly represented by idiots who give atheists a bad name. Same goes for Christians.
Because a congressman came out as gay before atheist
I don't really know how to respond to this one to be quite honest.

Many children have been beaten. I have and I have watched others get beaten for it too, both in church and home
Because atheists are still discriminated
I agree. Although that's true, I'm more talking more about actual discrimination as would be recognised as akin to anti-semitism or racism
Because a congressman came out as gay before atheist
I don't really know how to respond to this one to be quite honest. It shows that being an atheist is more deplorable and horrid than being gay. It's signing yourself into being a social pariah
• I prefer option 3. Work together to figure out the truth. End the bias opinions, and except that they are both wrong about certain things. Use information from both sides to capture the full picture. There are 2 sides to every story, and when we choose one side or the other it will only cause arguments. Look at both sides however and we might some day come to an agreeable conclusion.

 • I would love to do that, but sadly some people are too ignorant to realize that they may be wrong about things.
