Ash elbows you "So why are you here? The pay or the fact you get to hang out with me more?" Ash grinned

"Little bit of both. I feel an obligation to keep an eye on you."

"Who says I need to be kept an eye on?"

"Thought so." Ash puffed his chest at you jokingly

"Yeah, I guess so, excuse me I gotta to smoke."

"Gotta quit that man. Go ahead."

Ash walked out, and 5 minutes later he came back in, smelling of smoke

[b] Lance gagged when he smelled the smoke.[/b] Im buying you a can of Axe."

"Sorry about that, I've tried quitting but I can't."

"It's not the smoking, I've got some really bad memories dealing with fire and smoke."

"Ah I see, something to do with your parents?"

[b] Lance bites his lip.[/b] "Yeah. They were murdered along with my sister. Our house was burned down after they were done. I got out after almost burning alive. [b] Lance pulls his blazer back and lifts up his shirt, showing that his entire back is covered in burn scars.[/b]

"Dang, Lance. I guess we both have scars from our pasts. Like I've told you, I never meant to get cybernetics."

"Yeah. It happens. I don't know about you. But my scars are a reminder."

"Mine are too. Plus I like to use them as motivation to fight for what's right. Maybe after my ordeal is over I can help you discover your past."
