Galdes runs towards higher ground and reloads his Shrapnel Cannon with slug rounds in preparation for the undead things*

In the calm area, he decides to find out the origins of the civil war in the reactor chamber while looking for a way to destabilize it to the point it explodes*

Messes with it some more to make sure the reactor destroys some area away from the base to ensure the undead creatures are destroyed*

He kills off most of the swarm and freeruns up an elevator shaft to the roof, and frantically looks for a shuttle, a mech, a gunship, or any vehicle*

As the reactor goes critical, he jumps in and uses it to get as far away as possible, then turns around and sees the reactor explosion make a hole in Mars 500m deep, and three miles in diameter.*
