any point in keeping non blue printed stuff?

so if you have a piece of gear that isnt in the blueprints meaning it wont rate in year two is there any point in keeping it? Also can you just generate weapons from these blueprints? Meaning can my warlock make a truth for my titan?

Exotics? Yes because it might eventually be grandfathered in. Yes you can get a weapon from blueprint then transfer it to your titan
