Anyone got tips on how to increase download speed?
I've been downloading the 2.0 patch since it was dropped and the first hour was going well. I got to almost half way and then I put my ps4 into rest mode. When I got back on 8 hours later the download time said 99+ hours left!! So I checked my download speed and it said 449.27kbps. It hasn't changed since then. I went from 42% to 47% in 12 hours. I'm on PS4 btw.

go into your network settings - advanced settings - dns setiings, primary code is 8.8.8.8 (use your bumpers to move boxes) n secondary is 8.8.4.4 This will connect to google servers & download will take about 1Hr with no issues

Change DNS to 8.8.8.8 and the second one to 8.8.4.4 then finish setup. Tripled my download speed.[/quote] I used this method on Xbox one as well as PS4 and it made the download go much faster!

Pause and restart it, I also tested my internet connection a few times. Sometimes the test showed as low as 12mps download sometimes as high as 22.4mps not sure if the test effected it at all but it seemed to help me

1 ReplyChange your setting to what that guy below me said I've heard that speeds it up a lot. You also want to pause and restart it sometimes if it begins to slow down as this changes the server.
