So here is what happened:
I have the PS Plus main account on my Playstation 4.
I purchased the Collector's edition of Destiny (including both HoW + DB) at launch in the UK.
However my partner decided to activate the expansion/bonus codes on his account before I got home. He does not pay PS Plus but gets the PS Plus benefits through my account on the same PS4.
Initially I thought I might miss out on the bonus content as he activated it on a sub account. However I had access to all the initial bonus gear. Also when DB and HoW came out I could also access that without any hiccups.
Now the time to pre-order TTK Digital version has come round and PS Plus thinks I do not own DB or HoW.... So it will not let me buy it.
Is there some way I can buy the digital edition and apply it to my account? I'm worried if I buy it on my partner's sub account it may not transfer across to my account. I want to buy it - I just don't want to have to buy it all again (understandably).

You can only purchase the digital download version on an account that owns both year 1 expansions. If your partner applied the expansions to their account, only that account is eligible for the TTK digital download purchase. You will be able to access the TTK content in the same way you access the year 1 content, though the Digital Rights Management features.
