Literally every English speaking country outside the US spells it with a U.
English

  • nah, the ones who didn't butcher a language to edgily disassociate themselves from the founding nation are objectively correct :^)

  • Well the U is redundant. Just like having two "K's" right next to eachother. Or even a CK in a word.

  • One could argue that any silent letter is redundant. Doesn't make the spelling incorrect.

  • But for "favorite" and "color" etc there is a U that is un necessary. They would both have the same meaning though. Like knight and night. Idiots. So sick of the flood bring stupid.

  • Oh I'm sorry for being so stupid and acknowledging the fact that there are two widely accepted ways of spelling the exact same word. I'll just take my clearly incorrect perception of this non-issue somewhere else. Never mind the fact that there are other words in American English that use silent letters, without having multiple spellings/meanings either. Literally, end your own life fam.

  • You need to read my post more. Get over it no life. Bothering people on forums is what you do all day? Get a life. What you say is misguided. List some words that are spelled multiple ways but mean the same in american english. Read the rest of the post. Your misguidedness is nearly putting you into the wrong on this one. Quit arguing with me.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL O O O O O O O O O O O O O L Be more autistic, man. You're literally taking insults from the "I'm a 15 year old defending a dumb viewpoint with little to no experience in debating and banter" handbook. You're going to disregard this, because you're an absolute retard, but here's a list of words that have silent letters in the ol' language of freedom.
Silent A: artistically, logically, musically, romantically, stoically Silent B: climb, comb, crumbs, debt, doubt, numb, subtle, thumb, tomb Silent C: acquire, muscle, scissors Silent D: Wednesday, sandwich, handsome, edge, bridge
There are 16 more letters to go, as F, J, Q, R, V and Y don't apply, but I feel I've proved my point. You can't even backpedal on this and say "hurr I troled u le xd," because you made such a colossal thundercunt of yourself in the process.
