Who else thinks Nolan sounds terrible?!!
Dinklage was sooooo much better! People moaning that Dinklage underplayed it, but it was subtlety he was playing, as he is an ai ROBOT after all.
I know Nolan makes more sense as its his business and he's more readily available but now it sounds so cheep and over done. He sounds like he's permanently questioning himself. Ha
Peter Dinklage was awesome! If it ain't broke don't fix it!
But all the fussy childish players out there who thought "well it could be better", nagged away endlessly at Bungie, and Dinklage (which pissed me off) until we all get stuck with this shit "performance" (if that's what you wanna call it).
And now all the people who were amongst the bitchy little whine a lots that caused this mess, have realised that they should've been happy with a good thing and not chased after the mythical "perfect".
At least give us a setting to switch between the two voices for year 1 content so we have a choice!!!

EDIT - Wow THANKS for all the support guys!!! This post is blowing up! I had no idea that (near) EVERYONE else felt as strongly about this as me.
Thank you to all Guardians, keep the replies coming and maybe Bungie will add the voice toggle switch so we can have our little Dinklebot back for year one content.

1 ReplyI was so excited when I heard Nolan was gonna be the new voice. I was fully on board with Cobblebot. What happened here? It literally makes me cringe. IT'S BLAMMING HORRIBLE!! He sounds like he could cheerfully warn you of an impending nuclear holocaust. The rest of the time he sounds like a contestant on Jeopardy. I'm sorry, I mean if you DO happen to like him, then by all means, enjoy....but I absolutely hate it. Just for the record, I never once complained about Dinklebot (unless you count complaining about him not being in the DLCs) I always liked him.

1 ReplyYeah, I would rather go back to Dinklebot. Nolan is a fantastic voice actor and all, but the way he is voicing the Ghost (or however he's being directed) is really annoying; his high pitched, always cheerful voice in the face of really serious crap get's on my nerves. He is now ClapTrap for Destiny. Both of them could have done better, but so far I prefer Dinklage over Nolan.

It is terrible! Bungie, come clean, do you have a promotion going with DirecTv because Ghost now sounds like "High Voice Payton Manning"?The good thing is since North is easily accessible then he can re-record the voice work without somebody squeezing his nutz. He sounds way too similar to the blue orb from Halo as well. Seriously needs to add some cajones to the voice work.

2 RepliesWell you have to think about it, technically your Ghost is a Robot-Librarian Lock picker, So now he sounds like a more Mild Mannered Robot-Librarian Lock picker. Dinklage sounded like he could just go square up and duke it out with someone. The Ghost sounds more humbled and defenseless now.

Shame we can't adjust the pitch of the voice in the settings. That way you could adjust it to your preference without having to re-record again the lines. Opt for as it is or deeper, or dare I say it higher pitched

I would rather have custom ghost voices that ppl can choose from, like a Australian accent, or a British accent, any accent really. That would of been nice.

3 RepliesHey guys, think of some funny or good voices you would want to hear play new ghost. Mines is stewie griffin, zach galifianakis, and or laurence fishburne (morpheus). Two funny voices and one good one.
