Who else thinks Nolan sounds terrible?!!
Dinklage was sooooo much better! People moaning that Dinklage underplayed it, but it was subtlety he was playing, as he is an ai ROBOT after all.
I know Nolan makes more sense as its his business and he's more readily available but now it sounds so cheep and over done. He sounds like he's permanently questioning himself. Ha
Peter Dinklage was awesome! If it ain't broke don't fix it!
But all the fussy childish players out there who thought "well it could be better", nagged away endlessly at Bungie, and Dinklage (which pissed me off) until we all get stuck with this shit "performance" (if that's what you wanna call it).
And now all the people who were amongst the bitchy little whine a lots that caused this mess, have realised that they should've been happy with a good thing and not chased after the mythical "perfect".
At least give us a setting to switch between the two voices for year 1 content so we have a choice!!!

EDIT - Wow THANKS for all the support guys!!! This post is blowing up! I had no idea that (near) EVERYONE else felt as strongly about this as me.
Thank you to all Guardians, keep the replies coming and maybe Bungie will add the voice toggle switch so we can have our little Dinklebot back for year one content.

Anything would be better than what we have now. This new ghost voice is just bad. I am all for a mute ghost at this point. Just open my doors, wake the hive and get outta my way.

1 ReplyI agree with you. the real issue is - Nolan's voice is fine - but with this horrible sound design to change pitch and a filter to make it sound more electronic? Its just awful. All they have to do to fix this is NOT change the pitch of his voice - so that he doesn't sound like a squeaky, high pitched Alvin & the chipmunks wannabe! They didn't do that before - why now ? AND they already have the audio recordings - they just have to remove the silly filter!! I really hope Bungie is trolling us before TTK drops on tuesday. cause I never had a problem with dinklebot. I liked his voice. this girly C3PO voice is just really annoying.

2 RepliesI've never had a bad thing to say about Destiny... until now. This new ghost, I can't take it. Is he a flamboyant homobot? Is HE a SHE now? (I know that's popular these days) Was there some kind of horendous accident where his nuts were severed and he forgot how to annunciate properly and completely screwed up the proper inflections in speaking? Whatever the reason PLEASE, IF THERE IS A GOD, INCLUDE A WAY FOR ME TO AT LEAST MUTE THIS HORRENDOUS PORTRAYAL OF AN INTELLIGENT A.I. VOICE!

I want to punch the Ghost even more than Terence Stamp's stupid annoying play by play in the crucible. We need comprehensive audio controls including volumes for each thing (Music - Dialog - Gunfire - Ghost - and of course retarded Crucible Comentator)

2 RepliesNolan sounds swful. It's almost like he received no voice direction at all and just went out of his way to sound wet and weak , with no inflection, enthusiasm or emotion. This is a hyper intelligent AI we are talking about here. It should have attitude. A great voice. And some bass tone. Or make it a smokin hot female voice. Or put a selection out there to be chosen by the player. Come on Bungie, get it right. If I can change the voice on my cars sat nav today, why not the AI voice on my computer assistant a few hundred years into the future. Sell voice packs, and make ' em good!!
